Propaganda and Political Persuasion:

Poster Series

Designed the posters associated with semester long Lennox Seminar Series on Propaganda and Political Persuasion which took place at Trinity University in 2016. Four experts on the topic of political communication visited the campus to discuss current events and our contemporary media landscape.

Worked on the graphic design team to organize and promote the semester-long guest lecture series. Developed the visual motifs that became the basis for all of the promotional materials linked to the seminar.

Finding a motif that was appropriate for the wide range of speakers invited to campus sent me back in time. Taking hints from classic 1940s war propaganda and mid-century comic books, the distressed aesthetic played well with pops of color. Not only did I approach these posters as a way to promote a speaker series about propaganda, but they were by design tools of propaganda. Each poster was distributed throughout the campus of  Trinity University and the city of San Antonio.
